Orange surrounded me. Sunrise had made its way into Alessandro’s room. He lay on his stomach, tangled in black satin sheets. His muscular arms clutched his pillow tight while his ass cheeks pointed toward the ceiling. My eyes raked over his bottom. Alessandro was a fine specimen.

Except for the phone call I’d made to tell Darnell that I wouldn’t be home because I’d had a few drinks, I slept most of the night in Alessandro’s arms, only waking twice: once, to the sound of Alessandro’s voice as he checked in with his crew to make sure both kids were safe and accounted for at the ranch, and twice, when we both woke up starving at two a.m. from our night’s worth of lovemaking. Alessandro served us gnocchi in bed. For dessert, we dined on our bodies. There were still traces of his scent on my arms.

I covered myself with a throw blanket and got out of bed. I crept to the sliding glass door that opened to the private balcony. Quietly, I slid the door open and watched as the sun’s light spilled onto the lake. On the horizon, dozens of geese swam in groups. Sun warmed my cheeks. I wanted to stay there for hours, but my bladder had a different idea.

I closed the door, went to his bathroom, and turned on the shower. While the water got warm, pictures of his body on top of me, under me, behind me, and on my side stamped my mind. I would never forget the way he looked at me when he came or how he held me throughout the night. I’d never felt more loved in my entire life.

He was right. I craved him now. He was a Mafia sex god, and I wanted more.

I shut the shower door behind me and let the water fall on my face and down my back. I put his soap to my nose. It smelled of him, like clean linen drying on the line. I washed gently, afraid to lather the swollen flesh between my legs. I rinsed my hair and shut my eyes as the water pelted my face when I felt Alessandro come behind me. He nestled his face in the crook of my neck, then reached around my torso to pull my ass up against him.

“Here, let me help you.” He reached for the soap in my hands. He lathered my back, down to my butt, then turned me around and glided the bar down my neck to my pubic area.

“Last night was amazing,” he said close to my ear.

“You’re an incredible lover. I enjoyed every moment.”

“Good. I’m glad. I had fun too.” He pulled me close and peered down at me with a look of sheer intensity. “You’re exceptional.” His gaze fixed on me. “I especially liked the part where you were in control. I like you on top. I think you like it too.” He smiled a devilish smile.

I blushed under the shower water.

“Don’t be embarrassed.” He grabbed my hips and pulled me close.
